Dipendra Mohan Bagchee
Dipendra was born November 2nd, 1979 in Oakland, CA and grew up in Hayward, CA. He started school at Treeview Elementary, then transferred to Tyrell Elementary as part of the GATE program. He then attended La Vista Junior High and Tennyson High School. Dipendra developed an interest in music when he was 10, influenced by his older brother Auhin. He started out on bass guitar but quickly moved to guitar. The rest of his time was spent roller blading and playing video games. In his junior year, at the age of 16, he moved with his family to India.
He lived in India for two years and attended Aptech, a computer tech school where he got his feet wet in computer programming and web design. Dipendra moved back to U.S. at the age of 18, staying with his brother in Santa Cruz.
After working at a few odd jobs (Sears Portrait Studios and Orion Telescopes and Binoculars), he landed a desktop support job at DRS Precision Echo. This gave him the opportunity to move out on his own (with roommates) to Capitola. When DRS Precision Echo shutdown in 2001, Auhin saved the day by getting him a position at Seagate Technology where Dipendra still works today as Sr. Web Applications Analyst.
In the midst of all this work, Dipendra also plays guitar and sings in the band Asyst. He is also going to school part time, currently attending Cabrillo College and will eventually transfer to CSUMB to pursue a Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Multimedia, and Applied Computing.
